2. What is the purpose of processing personal data?
Personal data is processed in order to process enquiries that Astara Move Switzerland AG (hereinafter « Astara Move ») receives via the Internet, email or chat. The data processing is carried out in particular for the purpose of answering customer enquiries of any kind as well as requests for commercial information or, if applicable, for the purpose of registering for the newsletter and generally for handling any interaction between Astara Move and the Internet user. Astara Move requires the personal data requested in order to be able to process the enquiries.
The personal data collected by e-mail and/or online chat are processed in order to deal with any questions, suggestions and/or concerns of the users.
Customers who are interested in Astara Move's services can register as users by filling in the forms. The data collected will be used to manage the registration. Users will also receive commercial information if they have given their consent by selecting the appropriate option.

The rental vehicles are equipped with GPS geolocalisation systems or similar devices to monitor the activities of the renters for security reasons and to control the items and services provided. In particular, geolocalisation makes it possible to monitor the continuous location of the vehicles and their proper use by the renter, as well as to detect cases of delay, fraudulent use or reckless driving.

3. What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
The existing business and contractual relationship between you and Astara Move forms the legal basis for the processing of your personal data by Astara Move. All personal data requested by us is mandatory for the processing of the business relationship, otherwise Astara Move will not be able to provide the services offered via this website.
We will send you commercial communications of all kinds, including electronic communications, on the basis of your consent. Astara Move will not use your personal data for advertising purposes without your consent.

With regard to the geolocalisation of vehicles, data processing is justified because Astara Move has an overriding private interest in preventing the theft of vehicles, ensuring the safety of drivers and detecting and preventing fraud. 4. Is personal data passed on to third parties?
Astara Move works together with third party providers who, as a result of this cooperation, gain access to your personal data and process this data in the name of and on behalf of Astara Move for the purpose of providing their services.
If you are interested in purchasing a rental vehicle, which may be owned by a third party, your personal data will be transferred to the owner of the vehicle and to the manufacturer so that they can provide their services arising from the fulfilment, maintenance and control of the contract concluded in relation to a vehicle, such as customer service and warranty services, as well as to keep you informed or to carry out satisfaction surveys about products or services or the automotive sector by telephone, post or electronically.
If you are interested in financing the vehicle, your personal data may be transferred to the relevant financial institutions or insurance companies for the purchase of the vehicle.
Astara Move engages third party service providers to carry out its activities, in particular in the following areas: Companies that provide computer and technology services. For this purpose, if necessary, your personal data will also be transferred to these third parties.
International transfers: Your personal data may be transferred to third parties outside the European Economic Area in order to provide services related to the products and services you have requested. These transfers are made to countries for which the European Commission has established the existence of an adequate level of data protection or on the basis of other appropriate data protection safeguards provided for in the applicable regulations.

7 Automated decision-making and profiling
If you have consented to receive commercial communications from Astara Move, we will customise and send you these communications according to your interests and preferences. In tailoring our communications to you, we will take into account any information you have previously provided to us, such as the products/services contracted, the information we have been able to collect based on your activities and habits in our e-commerce and/or visits to our website, or information collected by distributors or agents, if any. Such automated commercial communication will not have any effects with significant legal significance for you.
8. How long do we keep your personal data?
Astara Move will delete your data when it is no longer necessary or relevant for the purpose for which it was collected. It will also be deleted after the relevant limitation periods have expired.
